A great game for JKPS Tigers yesterday afternoon, earning a precious point drawing 3-3 vs Macauley PS. Strong defending and forward play enabled them to lead the game till a few minutes from the end when Macauley PS found the equaliser. A truly encouraging performance. Well done!
We have had some fabulous home learning projects from the children in 5B, who have been learning about our oceans in Topic, and Islam in RE. It is wonderful to see such creativity being encouraged at home as well as at school!
£472.66 raised for StandUpToCancer yesterday! A massive thanks to everyone who came to school in orange and donated to this incredibly worthy cause! All money raised will go towards developing game-changing, life-saving cancer tests and treatments. @SU2C
This half term Reception children have been learning to retell the story of The Gruffalo using actions and different props. They have been painting their favourite animals from the story. drawing maps and sequencing the story by cutting and sticking pictures from the story.
The first Home Learning projects of the year have started coming in. Here are some of the rocket and space models by the Year 2's, inspired by their exploration of space this term! They've also written great stories and done some their own research.

We will hold open days at school for parents and carers who will apply for their child(ren) to join Reception in September 2020 as follows:
Friday, 11 October 2019
Friday, 8 November
Wednesday, 18 December
All sessions will start at 10am and run for an hour. There will be short talks by the Headteacher and the Early Years Foundation Stage Lead, and a tour of the school.
Prospective parents are welcome at any session - no need to book a place.
We have a small number of vacancies in all school years and are able to fill these at any time. The school controls its own admissions, so if you want to find out more about moving your child to JKPS, please contact us.
For our September 2019 Reception intake, we currently have a waiting list. If you applied for a place but didn't yet receive an offer, please contact either Southwark Council or us directly to check your child is on the waiting list and in what position. If you have recently moved into the area, it's not too late to apply: please contact the school for more information.
