We can now confirm that there will be a second volunteer day on Saturday 15 November 2014 between 10am and 4pm. We hope to finish the sterling work from June this year where we cleared paths through the woodland area and this time we will be creating a woodchip surface. Part of the group will be working on the raised planters as part of the school’s garden and planting bulbs to create a riot of colour for next Spring.
New Leaf Educational Gardens are supporting us again and providing the supervision, guidance, tools and all protective equipment – kindly paid for by the Friends of JKPS.
All helpers are very welcome, although please note that this time there will be no organised activities for children and only adults will be working in the wood. Please wear stout boots, warm clothes and waterproofs and remember to bring a drink and something to eat. La Gastronomia (opposite the school) will be open and will be serving hot food and drinks.
There is no need to let us know you are coming – just turn up at 10am at the school on the day.
Please contact Ed John of the Governing Body if you need any additional details.
